SUMMARY
This position will support a wide range of infrastructure items related to physical security of computer assets, new hardware installation and hardware replacement, system software, installation, optimization, monitoring and administration of systems and applications to ensure that systems perform at their highest levels. This position requires expert knowledge in a variety of operating systems, virtual environments, Windows server, storage systems, as well as infrastructure security.

Admin Systems Assoc 

EDUCATION
•    Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems. (Preferred)
•    Without the above degree, 5 years of experience in information technology, hardware/software maintenance, configurations or in a complex, multiplatform environment may be considered.

EXPERIENCE

•    Windows Failover Cluster Manager Administration (Preferred)
•    Open Options DNA Fusion (Preferred)
•    Everbridge Control Center (Preferred)
•    MilestoneXprotect (Preferred)
•    SAN Administration (Preferred)

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
•    CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and Server+ certification. (Preferred)

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Resolves technical assistance calls as assigned.
•    Serves as a contact for system failure, hardware and software support for the Central and Secondary Alarm Stations.
•    Provides 24/7 on-call and/or on-site coverage to deliver immediate action for critical program functions.
•    Installs, upgrades and repairs infrastructure hardware and software related to the Security systems.
•    Performs regular application installations, configurations, service patches, and day-to-day administration.
•    Performs security administration activities as assigned.
•    Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.
•    Maintain familiarity with new versions of applications.
•    Assists with the creation of infrastructure documentation and schematics required for configuration control.
•    Experience with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, LDAP, NIS, RDS and Certificate Services.
•    Understands and able to work in a mixed OS environment including Microsoft Servers.
•    Understands firewall operations and security-related applications, NAC, EDR, IDS
•    Supports VMware virtual environments.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Identifies new technology solutions and performs research and develops implementation plans.
•    Packages and installs applications using in-house and vendor instructions. 
•    Leads, coordinates, and participates in key process improvements as they relate to the client/server environment.
•    Designs, administers, and practices business continuity and disaster recovery methodologies.
•    Installs, upgrades and repairs hardware and software related to the security systems.
•    Performs regular application installations, configurations, service patches, and day-to-day administration.
•    Troubleshoots hardware and software issues as they arise.
•    Maintain familiarity with new versions of applications.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Accept ERO position as needed.

ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•    Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.

WORKING CONDITIONS
•    Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
•    Normal office environment
•    Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
•    Travel may be required.

WORK LOCATION
•    Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between Site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business need.
