Admin Database (All Levels)
SUMMARY
The Database Administrator is responsible for assisting with all activities associated with establishing and maintaining the ORACLE database infrastructure and application databases. Provides technical assistance and support to customers and ensures the daily operation and functionality of Oracle's Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and databases.

EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Computer Science, Math or related subject. (preferred)
• Or Associate and 3+ years’ experience in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, or related subject.
• Without a degree, 5 years’ experience in IT (i.e. database admin., programming, network admin., systems, or security admin) will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
• No experience required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS
• There is no Certification or License required.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Installing and maintaining the Oracle database software.
• Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.
• Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
• Setting up database user accounts.
• Training users on how to access the information in the database.
• Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
• Creating autonomous database backups.
• Regularly updating the database security protocols.

EXPERIENCE
• 8+ years’ experience in managing enterprise platforms like Oracle Applications, IBM P8 (FileNet) (preferred)
• Or 9+ years of overall experience in IT/Enterprise applications

Performs the following with a high degree of expertise and ownership.
• Installing and maintaining the Oracle database software.
• Creating storage database structures with high-level security features.
• Altering storage structures to meet the evolving needs of the company.
• Setting up database user accounts.
• Training users on how to access the information in the database.
• Finding and debugging malfunctioning programs affecting the database integrity.
• Creating autonomous database backups.
• Regularly updating the database security protocols.
• Provides support to investigate and troubleshoot issues related with Oracle Applications Suite applications, Oracle database and Oracle Application Servers

SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Proven work experience as a Oracle Database administrator.
• Familiarity with Oracle database design, coding, and documentation.
• Knowledge of database backup procedures, recovery systems, and SQL.
• Knowledge of programming languages and API.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to visualize algorithmic structures.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accept ERO position as needed.
• Accept outage position as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access if needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Overtime and alternate work schedules as needed.
• Subject to callouts twenty-four hours per day seven days per week.
• Travel may be required.
• May be required to carry a phone.
WORK LOCATION
• Due to the nature of the work, this position provides the ability for a hybrid work schedule between Site and an alternate work location. Alternate work locations require adequate technology and that a solid ergonomic setup is present. Note: Work schedules are contingent on business need.
ENVIRONMENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Environmental and physical requirements are subject to crouching, stooping, bending, twisting and/or lifting up to 30 lbs; ascending/descending stairs; sitting for extended periods of time; and spending considerable time in front of computer monitors.
